Liability Insurance Protection

North Dakota United provides $1 million of liability insurance protection for its members for any covered claim arising during the course of the insured’s employment activities.

Coverage for education related employees is provided through the National Education Association and for other members through the American Federation of Teachers.

Coverage includes any acts or omissions alleged to have been committed by the insured or any other person for whose acts the insured is legally liable.  This policy also provides bail bond coverage, protection for assault-related personal property damage, and reimbursement of attorney’s fees for defense of criminal charges.

Contact the ND United Help Desk immediately at 701-223-0450 if any of the following situations occur:

  • An incident resulting in death or any injury requiring medical attention.
  • The receipt of a notice of claim, lien letter from any attorney, or service of summons or lawsuit by the insured.
  • Any situation the insured believes to be covered by the policy.
