The foremost benefit of your membership in North Dakota United is your combined power of advocacy and your collective voice. Advocacy can happen anywhere, from the classroom to the Capitol, to anywhere decisions are being made, and we are here to help find opportunities for you to advocate and provide the tools and resources to be successful. We know getting started can feel intimidating, but change only happens when we step up and get involved. And you don't have to do it alone!

NDU invites you to join us for the Spring meeting of the ND United Advocacy Team — formerly known as the GROW Team — taking place on May 7 at 6 p.m. CDT. Building on our recent victories, we are expanding our advocacy work in preparation for the fights ahead. Every position our union takes, every action we lobby behind is based on all of us doing what’s right for the highly qualified public educators and employees in North Dakota.

With the 2026 elections starting soon and the 2027 legislative session on the horizon, it’s more important than ever for our members to be prepared for what’s to come. Beyond our current work supporting the universal school meals ballot measure, we know there will be more to fight for in 2027: salary increases for public sector employees, protection of tenure rights in higher education and preventing the privatization of public schools.

Whether you've been actively involved for years or are simply interested in learning more, there's a place for you on the NDU Advocacy Team! Our staff and experienced advocacy leaders are here to support you every step of the way.

Let’s build power together and make our voices heard!
