Fifty-two North Dakota United members from across the state gathered in Bismarck and West Fargo to build their skills, strengthen relationships with fellow leaders, and continue building the power we need to strengthen our public schools and public service.

The summit addressed many key competencies for union leaders, including social emotional intelligence, governance and leadership, strategy & fiscal health, communication, leading our professions, political advocacy, and organizing.

Members also participated in phone banks to voters about the universal school meals ballot measure.

SLAS has become a crucial training for local leaders looking to strengthen their unions and build relationships with fellow leaders across the state. If you haven’t attended one yet, we will be holding another again in the Summer of 2027. Stay tuned for more information in Spring 2027!
